Wild Seas Slot Overview

Let’s head back to the age of the pirates, with this game from ELK Studios, yet another Scandinavian developer who produce games that match a wonderful look and feel with the potential to win big. They’ve got great pedigree, with 2017’s ERG game of the year award on their mantelpiece for the Wild Toro game.

The setting here is the Port Royale, where anyone setting out on a three-master could find themselves in trouble if they run into Anne Bonny, the very glamorous pirate who plans to rob from the rich and give their treasure to the poor. She’s a sort of sea-going Robin Hood, and very much the hero of this game. She’s even based on a real Irish pirate who cruised around the Caribbean in the 18^th century.

The Wild Seas slot machine is set up in a fairly classic way with a 5 reels x 4 rows grid and a very big and bold graphical, comic style that’s typical of the new-breed Swedish studios. It sounds as good as it looks too.

Wild Seas Slot Features

The Wild Seas slot game plays really nicely. The reels fill up the whole of the screen, with just a floating spin button to bother the view.

The symbols are fully themed, with a treasure chest full of doubloons spinning before your eyes along with the captains of a trio of galleons that our Anne would love to plunder. These captains are among the biggest payers in the standard game, with 500 coins paid out for the English – of course – captain. Anne herself pays out 1,000 coins.

The game logo does duty as one of three wild symbols. Ships are also wild, sailing across the reels during the bonus game, and the chest is a sticky wild.

There are some nice special effects – fog and cannons – as the Break the Convoy feature starts up, triggered by the wild. This is a great free spins round with expanding symbols and sticky symbols over a three-level game that will fill your hold with gold coins.

The betting offers the chance to place your stakes according to a choice of strategies: Optimizer, Jumper, Leveller or Booster, with each one taking a fairly common approach to raising and resetting stakes.
