Abracardabra Slot Game Review
The Abracardabra is a card-themed slot, developed by British makes Betdigital but released through the giant NextGen Gaming group. A funky/jazzy soundtrack is a standout feature of a simple and stylish game with a beginner-friendly 0.01 coin opening stake and super-easy gameplay. A top win of 10,000 times stake (the top gamble is 25 coins) makes this game also an enticing hand to draw for more seasoned players.
In some ways, this game isn’t quite a slot. There are no reels, for example, and it’s based on poker hands that deliver winning combos from a hand of five cards. The controls are very easy to use, a “deal” and “draw” standing in for a start button and the pay-table displayed along the bottom of the screen. You can see that it’s a very sleek, modern look and really well put together for play on mobile screens.
Although it takes its gameplay largely from poker, there’s still room for slot symbols on the cards. They’re from the classic era of the pub fruit machine, with fruits:

- grapes;
- watermelons;
And figure 7s standing in for card symbols. It’s a nice touch to have the pay-table on-screen throughout the game, and a quick scan of that (which adjusts as you adjust your bet) reveals that 7s pay out a very lovely 10,000 times stake for a full hand of five.
On the turn of a card
Instead of a spin, you get a deal. This slaps down five cards in front of you. You can then hold any number of these cards and “draw” the second set of cards to see what wins pop up.
Don’t worry if you’re not an expert on cards, just click or tap on the auto-hold feature to let an algorithm make the decisions for you. It’s hard to imagine a simpler and more elegant game to be honest. But there is a bit of an extra that reveals that Abracardabra slot game has a little bit of magic to match its name.
