Cash Bandits Slot Overview
People love a good story, even if the protagonist isn’t really the most upstanding chap you could pick out from the street. How many popular movies have we seen in which our brave heroes pull off an impossible heist, a break out of prison, or various other impressive, yet highly illegal activities? And yet, the protagonists of this slot sadly lack any of the charisma or glamour of the thieves in the silver screen, but we’re in it for the long haul with them, with the end goal breaking open the vaults and making off with the cash inside. With a 5×3 reel set up with 25 flexible paylines, the Cash Bandits slot is yet another old but gold release from RTG, and it was successful enough to spawn a sequel that released not too long ago.
Cops, Cuffs, and Cash
While far from the visual goodies we’re used to seeing in 2017, there is something rather appealing in the design of Cash Bandits. The backdrop shows a great deal of messy cash, gold, guns and disguises tossed about, so our thieves either made off with a lot of moolah, or they’re deep in chaotic planning for the hit to occur. All the symbols you can see on the playing field are also completely unique, giving the game a great look that doesn’t break away from immersing you in the world. You shouldn’t really expect much going into it, but if you can adjust to the time frame when it was released, it becomes a lot more bearable.
But the pretty looks won’t be enough to draw in players, so instead RTG’s release has prepared plenty of goodies to lure people in with. The developers offer not one, but two progressive jackpots, both of which have a good amount of cash in them that you’d more than get your money’s worth winning either the minor or major jackpot, and if that isn’t enough, there’s also a damn good special feature waiting locked behind some vaults you’ll need to break open. Add to that the fact you can play for $0.01 up to $6.25 per spin, and we have no doubt you’ll have more than a few interested players poking around to give it a try.
Vaults Full of Goodies
Once you get three or more Scatters present on the playing field, the slot will start off a rather fun special feature in which you’ll be assigned to cracking open a bunch of vaults. There are four vaults in total, and all you have to open them is a keypad. The first vault needs only one key number to open it, the second vault needs two, the third needs three, and the fourth needs four keys to open it up. Three Scatters will allow you to pick 5 keys, four Scatters will reward you with 6 keys, and if you’re lucky to get five Scatters, you’ll get 8 keys, and with it, that much closer to getting that maximum possible 90 free games at an x12 multiplier. You start off with 5 free spins and an x2 multiplier as guaranteed, and any additions to either come from opening the vaults by finding the right keys.
To sum it up and give a verdict, it’s great. It can take a while for the special feature to roll around, but once it does, it’s great to play through, and it was always enjoyable for us, even if we didn’t always win as much as we’d have liked. It’s clear why Cash Bandits slot machine ended up spawning a sequel – we warmly recommend giving it a spin.
